The Story of Friday January 22nd - Part II

So I finally got to go in and spend some time with Reagan, and got a chance to talk to the doctor.  I made a mistake in the earlier post, they are going to take him off the high frequency ventilator and put him on a normal vent, then, slowly wean him off the nitric oxide.  Hillary and I are headed down there later today after we drop by SJRMC to see Landon.

Oh, by the way, here's an interesting tidbit that I keep forgetting to mention, Reagan is taking Viagra. Here's an article about it. Doctors are using it now to treat the PPHN that Reagan has.

While I was talking to the doctor, I asked her to look at his right arm.  Since he's been at CHLA, I've noticed that his right arm will not fully extend, while his other arm and his legs have full range of motion, Hillary noticed it too when she was down there.  We figured that it was just stiff (no Viagra jokes please) from being cramped up in the womb.  The doctor looked at it and was going to have them x-ray it this morning when they took his regular chest x-ray.  We'll find out about it when we get down there.

Here's a video of Reagan, I like it because he's moving, and responds to touching.  If you've checked out the videos before, he was just lying there and didn't move at all, but now he is moving.  It was nice.
