- They took Reagan off of the high frequency oscillating ventilator today and put him on a regular ventilator.
- They decreased his nitric oxide / oxygen input.
- They cut back on his dopamine.
So today was a very good day for him. I'm headed down there first thing tomorrow morning, will give a full report with pictures and videos when I'm done.
Meanwhile, back in Oxnard, Landon is improving so much it's incredible. Today I got to change his diaper (yeah, I know, I won't always be this happy to change diapers) and hold him for about an hour and a half. He slept most of the time but it was still nice. Just Landon and daddy, sitting together. He's so cute I can't get over it. He has these little chipmunk cheeks and the cutest little button nose, and like I said before, he sleeps just like his mother, with his mouth open. After both my arms were asleep from holding him, it was time to put him back into the incubator and take off. So the nurse puts him in and wraps him all up and his right arm kinda pops out of the blanket up by his face. I put my finger into his palm, he clenches my finger and pulls my hand up against his cheek. So I ended up staying another half hour with him holding my hand against his cheeek.
And check out this video of the huge yawn, then Landon falling right to sleep.....
Tomorrow they are probably going to take Landon out of the incubator and put him in a regular NICU crib, Hillary will be there tomorrow with him, so fingers crossed.
Talk to ya'll tomorrow.
Phil
