The Story of Thursday January 21st

Another short post today about Landon, will update later when I get the whole debrief from Hillary about Reagan.  Hillary and Liza went down to CHLA to spend the day with Reagan and then stopped by SJRMC to visit Landon.  I went and spent the day with Landon and even got to go into work for a bit.

They took Landon off of the ventilator today and he's taken to it well.  Here's a pic of right before they pulled the vent out.  The blue light you see is a super-duper phototherapy light for the jaundice.  The light worked, his jaundice is completely gone.

Here's a pic of Landon right after they pulled him off the vent.  If you notice the yellowness around his eyes, that's because the light was so bright they covered his eyes, so that part of his face didn't get exposed to the lights.  The yellow color went away real quick though.

OK, I can't hold back any longer, today we got great news.  Tomorrow we get to hold Landon.  The doctor and the nurses said that he's progressing to the point that we can hold him for a while.  Hillary hasn't held him yet, and I only got to hold him for a minute after he was born.  I'm so excited, I cried when they told me.  Hillary did too.
